Sew Hopeful is a Ministry of Saint Lawrence Martyr Parish (www.saintlawrencemartyr.org), located in Jessup, MD.
We are committed to using our sewing talents for the benefit of others.
This ministry evolved from our "Sew Day For OK", a sewing event that was held on June 8, 2013, to create clothing items for the victims of the devastating tornadoes that hit Oklahoma in May 2013. This event yielded nearly 250 garments, blankets and pillow cases for the children of Moore, OK.
We are now partnering with the Gabriel Network (www.gabrielnetwork.org), an outreach ministry committed to empowering women to choose life,
We will be gathering quarterly to make outfits for these women to take their special newborn children home, filled with hope and affirmating life after a crisis pregnancy.
